I’m in a play! I’ve been cast in The Thanksgiving Play, by Larissa FastHorse at The Kitchen Theatre.
Here’s a quick synopsis of the play:
How does one celebrate Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Month at the same time?
Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa FastHorse’s wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of terminally “woke” teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both while avoiding any culturally appropriative missteps. A roast of the politics of entertainment and well-meaning political correctness alike, The Thanksgiving Play puts the American origin story in the comedy-crosshairs.
I play the role of Jaxton, an actor slash yoga dude whose commitment to PC culture takes some bizarre turns.
The script is amazing and I’m really excited to work with the badass creative team behind this production, including director Margarett Perry (who I previously worked with on One Slight Hitch), Matthew Boston, Maggie Lou Rader, and Ginna Hoben.
November 2nd – 21st at The Kitchen Theatre Company!
